阪神・淡路大震災の記憶

以下神戸市建設局が作成した説明書きを引用します。
-阪神淡路大震災の記憶-　 （東遊園地内）
「　-平成７年（1995）１月１７日午前５時４６分-阪神・淡路大震災により、この東遊園地周辺
は震度7の激震に見舞われ、大きく地盤が動きました。このトレリスも地盤に生じた約60ｃｍ
の段差によって、高さのずれが生じました。
復旧にあたっては、震災時の激震による被害の大きさを記憶を留めるために、その高さの
違いをそのまま残しました。」

Memory of great Hanshin-Awaji earthquake

At 5:46,on the morning of January 17th 1995,the Great Hanshin-Awaji
earthquake a severe earthquake with a force of seven on the japanese scale,struck the Higashi Park area,moving the ground extensively.
The ground also caused this trellis to undergo a slippage,producing a
defference in level of approximately 60 centimeters.
At the time of restoration,the discrepancy in height was left in its
original state as al reminder of the magnitude of damage caused the severe earthquake.
